Smartstone mirrors all of the design and durability characteristics of traditional solid surfacing, but with an intelligent “off the shelf” modular advantage, for immediate installation.
Smartstone’s secret is in its advanced factory finished 2mm surface and 6mm precision multiple edges, eliminating expensive customisation, templating and long lead times. Standard modular elements are unified on site by a special adhesive; fining and polishing forms a homogenous appearance with stunning crystalline depth, hewn from a single factor. On site edging is eliminated in most applications.
Uniquely available in modular worksurface, In-line under mounted sink option, pre shaped breakfast bar, splashback and upstand, Smartstone is the complete system, engendering a sculptured stone landscape that’s ultra hygienic and easy to clean. Smartstone’s non-porous surface is resistant to moisture, impact, stains and chemicals.
Contemporary In-line provides a highly functional and hygienic wet area for food preparation. For complete peace of mind, surface spills run through neat drainer grooves directly into leading Franke ARX 160 under mounted stainless steel sink for effortless cleaning. In-line’s seamless appearance accentuates Smartstone’s amazing sculptured effect.
Maintaining Smartstone is simplicity itself. A weekly clean and polish with Worktop Wizard from the Smartstone Care and Maintenance Kit will retain its bright lustre. Should light scratching occur over time, Smartstone’s beautiful smooth surface can be lightly sanded and repolished bringing the surface back to its original condition.
Reassuringly, major damage can be repaired with the unique Smartstone Repair Kit. The affected area can be renovated inconspicuously by your installer using Smartstone’s intelligent liquid repair technology.
Smartstone In-LineSmartstone In-Line elements are manufactured from 12mm thick solid surfacing and are designed for use with the Franke ARX 160* stainless steel undermount sink.
The sink aperature and drainer grooves are pre-fabricated ready for on-site installation.
Alternatively you can order a Universal In-Line worksurface which has no cut outs and can be used with alternative sinks.
